Plan de salvaguardia para fortalecer el patrimonio cultural inmaterial de la comunidad Kichwa Centro Payamino, cantón Francisco de Orellana, parroquia San Luis de Armenia

Abstract

The Kichwa community "Centro Payamino", located in Francisco de Orellana, San Luis de Armenia parish, is currently losing its cultural, traditional and ancestral identity, leaving current and future generations without knowledge of the existing manifestations within their community that have been transmitted from generation to generation, Therefore, the objective was to develop a safeguarding plan through technical instruments that serve as tools to enhance the ancestral, cultural and traditional identity of the Kichwa community "Centro Payamino", located in Francisco de Orellana, parish of San Luis de Armenia. For the development of the study a qualitative-quantitative methodological approach or mixed approach was considered, through historical, exploratory and descriptive research, interviews were applied to the authorities of the Autonomous Decentralized Rural Parish Government (GADPR), community members of San Luis de Armenia, and through cards of the National Institute of Cultural Heritage (INPC) cultural manifestations were recorded. The main results were: traditions, oral expressions, social uses, rituals and festive events; knowledge and uses related to nature and the universe; and traditional handicraft techniques. Therefore, the analysis of the information allowed the design of a Safeguarding Plan for the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Kichwa community "Centro Payamino", Francisco de Orellana, San Luis de Armenia parish, through the proposal of two programs with three projects that contribute to the rescue and strengthening of the manifestations related to the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) of the Kichwa community "Centro Payamino", Francisco de Orellana canton, the investment for its execution is USD 13,800 US dollars. It is concluded that there are traditions and resources within the community, but there is a lack of interest on the part of the new generations and, therefore, this Intangible Cultural Heritage is being lost.
