Diseño de una ruta turística en base a los centros culturales y naturales urbanos del cantón Francisco de Orellana

Abstract

Urban tourist routes have increased excessively at the national level, however, the lack of promotion, the lack of interest of the locality and the preference of the authorities for rural tourism has caused a low tourist positioning in Francisco de Orellana; thus, generating problems in the economic sector. Consequently, the objective of this research was to design an urban cultural and natural tourism route based on the analysis of the tourism resources of Francisco de Orellana to contribute to the development of local tourism. In order to fulfill the proposed objective, the deductive method was carried out with a mixed approach and at the same time the implementation of field research techniques, literature review, interviews and surveys. For the unit of analysis, the opinion in favor and against the design of a tourist route was taken into account, to a focal group of 20 people in charge and involved in the tourist sector, obtaining as a sample 110 surveys to be carried out to local, national and international tourists. Upon obtaining the results, the acceptance of the tourist route by the people surveyed and interviewed was determined. Based on this, a tourist route was executed by means of the design of a full day for 15 people, in which 8 attractions of the city were covered, subsequently the validation of the tourist potential and vulnerability on the part of the visitors was obtained. Through the research, it was concluded that the urban area of Francisco de Orellana has great tourism potential and adequate knowledge for the economic development of the attractions and the city in general. In addition, it was verified that the tourist product obtained the approval of the tourists involved in the execution of the urban tourist route.
