Evaluación de cuatro distancias entre plantas en el cultivo de girasol (helianthus annuus l.) var. vincent choice y sunrich gold

Abstract

This investigation aimed to evaluate four transplanting distances in the sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) crop var. Vincents Choice and Sunrich Gold, in Ascázubi parish, Pichincha province. Quantitative methodology was used considering two factors: variety and transplanting density established under eight types of treatments, with a total number of plants: 153720. The statistical analysis took into account the use of the ADEVA variance to be used in the trial, with a separation of means based on Tukey's test at 5 %. The main results indicated that there is a good level of plants set using products for efficient harvesting; however, it is more significant in the Sunrich Gold variant in terms of flower bud diameter with 4.73cm, 98.9% of stems harvested and the lowest number of days to flowering with 42.83 days, but it is an earlier harvest than Vincents Choice, which achieved a better agronomic performance with higher values in plant height of 92.81 cm, stem diameter of 2.03 cm and leaf area of 71.08 cm2. It is concluded that the agronomic performance of both hybrids is positive in Sunrich Gold, which has a better yield, and that between the two varieties this performance is different, whose interaction of the variety Vincents Choice*50 plants/m2 presented the highest benefit/cost ratio with a profit of 96 cts
