Análisis biomorfico de la ortiga del cantón Sucúa aplicada al turismo.

Abstract

This project aimed to design advertising pieces based on the biomorphic analysis of nettle species to help the population of Sucúa canton in order to promote tourism. For this purpose, the Andean fractal design method was applied, first identifying the problem, then a photographic record, botanical drawing, vectorization, a proportional analysis, where we obtained the proportional reasons of the plant, leaf and branch, a fractal vector scheme where we obtained the proportional reasons of spacing of each of the parts of the species (plant, leaf and branch). As a result of this study, the fractality of the species as well as its Andean qualities could be appreciated, and finally, the abstraction process in which the qualitative and quantitative variables were included, as well as the analysis of the species applying the ten compositional categories of the graphic design, as well as the compositional laws. With all the information collected, design patterns were generated in which both the compositional categories and the compositional laws will be present, as well as the scaling factors. With these patterns it was possible to apply them to different graphic supports such as mugs, T-shirts, key chains, backpacks, etc. A survey was conducted to twelve people from Sucúa canton made up of three native women, three foreign women, three native men and three foreign men. It was concluded that these patterns comply with all the parameters of harmony, chromatics, functionality and creativity. Further analysis of more species is recommended.
