Diseño hidráulico de un sistema de riego parcelario para el Proyecto Chambo-Guano, Fase II, en la comunidad Chingazos, módulo 8, cantón Guano.

Abstract

The objective of the study is to carry out the hydraulic design of the parcel irrigation system in the Chambo-Guano Project, Phase II, in the Chingazos community, module 8, Guano canton, to irrigate 35.29 hectares in short periods of time and benefit 115 families, through the design of hydraulic structures at the lot head level, guaranteeing the optimal use of water resources and avoiding losses in the irrigation system. The method used is quantitative because, through the application of formulas, the necessary hydraulic infrastructure was designed for the technified irrigation system of Module 8, with a flow rate of 28.8 l*s-1, which is conducted by PVC pipes with diameters of 160 mm and 315 mm, distributed in diameters from 32 mm to 160 mm, with pressures between 0.63 MPa and -1.25 MPa, 115 hydrants, and 29 sectorization valves that allow farmers to irrigate in any type of topography, avoiding losses in conduction and distribution; with an efficiency of 80%, allowing to mitigate poverty and improve the living conditions of the sector. The budget for the construction of the technified irrigation system is $319,315.17, which complies with the required feasibility of SENAGUA, which is $9048 per hectare. In this sense, the present design will allow seeking financing from different public and private entities to improve the agricultural production of the Chingazo Bajo community. It is recommended to use pipes with elastomeric joints, considering that there are high pressures to guarantee the efficient and correct operation of the irrigation system, avoiding breaks.
