Abstract

The cultural process of an ethnic group murks the beginning and future of its poopic, AfroFaadonuns have bon poople of struggle capable of getting ahead in unknown lands over the yours they have devised forns of subsistence that have allowed them to get to where they are today, for this reason, i, is important to tranerat the knowledge and teachings of the ancestors towards present and future gencrations. The project objecave was to design a photographie and informative catalog on the ancestral cultural aspects of the Afro-Ecuadonan poople in lismeraldas to disseminate the cultural heritage left by the ancestors as an incantive for the new genentions to avoid losing their cultural identity. In the methodological process, investigations were landied in an ethnographie and qualitative way because the infomation collected from the source in a non-numerical way: descripave and histoncal methods were applied to find smilanties in the object of investigation and its histonical hackground; as well as the interview tochmque, where the characters were selected according to their contribution and knowledge of Afro-Ecuadorian culture, and the observation tachnique that allowed documentation through photographs. In the design stage, Bruce Archer's methodology was implemented and defined by the analytical, creative, and execution phases, which allowed adequate development in the catalog design taking inte account the collection and synthesis of information, sketching, layout, and layout. evaluation. As a result, a final product was obtainod to fulfill the teaching purpose readily and effactively about cultural aspects, being a means of cultural dissemination for the Afro-Esmeraldera community. The methods and techniques applied allowed the synthesis of the information to organize optimally for the realization of the catalog. It is advisable to analyze the situation and environment of the object of study to minimize costs and technical production problems.
