Evaluación de parámetros de QOS en la transmisión de aplicaciones multimedia en una red FTTH utilizando el estándar ITU-T G987.X.

Abstract

The main objective was to evaluate the service quality for the transmission of multimedia applications in an FTTH network using the passive optical network standard whit 10 Gigabit (XGPON) in order to measure the optimal service quality parameters are used the current CNT EP regulations on the Optisystem simulation platform, where some research is conducted on optical communication technologies and systems as well as the terminology and definitions of a 10Gibabit capacity passive optical network (XGPON), Through the Optisystem program, the CNT regulations were analyzed, which allowed to obtain important parameters about the FTTH network infrastructure. The study was carried out in Chimborazo province, Riobamba canton for the Chimborazo housing cooperative, where the design of optical distribution network was performed. To summarize respective tests with the aid of the Optisystem software were executed and the results obtained in this analysis allowed to measure the services demand, it also permitted to obtain features at BER minimum and Q Factor, which are satisfactory and within the standard defined by the CNT regulation. Finally, it is concluded that the evaluation of the XGPON network is feasible, reliable and flexible and provides excellent video, voice and internet service. It is recommended to have a network based on GPON technology, as this network security, low investment and high bandwidth , including the regulations that define the service quality, and they can also hybridize XGPON technology with GPON as a migration is performed or a new network design.
