Análisis estadístico socioeconómico de la facultad de Informática y Electrónica en el período abril - septiembre 2021

Abstract

In this research work, a socioeconomic Statistical Analysis of the Faculty of Informatics and Electronics of the Escuela Superior Politénica de Chimborazo was performed in the period April -September 2021, for this study the calculation of the population was carried out using the simple random sampling technique where a sample of 313 students was obtained, a survey was made through the Microsoft Forms platform to the students of the Faculty of Informatics and Electronics, where information was obtained for the creation of the database, and later the tabulation was done. Afterwards, an exploratory data analysis was carried out with the variables selected for the investigation, in addition a new data matrix was constructed with the weights given by the qualitative variables, on the other hand, the weights of the students were calculated in order to know if they access to a student scholarship. And so, the following result was obtained: 132 students have conditions to receive a scholarship; while the rest of the students were unable to access it. This work concluded with the location of the students by quintiles to know the value that a student must pay for their registration, depending on whether or not it is free at the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo. It is recommended to collect information in each academic period to monitor students regarding their socioeconomic level.
