Evaluación del tráfico del terminal terrestre sur del cantón Ambato en el año 2021

Abstract

The research work entitled "Traffic evaluation of the southern land terminal of the canton of Ambato in the year 2021", with the objective of analyzing the current situation related to vehicular mobility in the sector of the southern land terminal of the city of Ambato for the establishment of the level of accessibility and security developed its methodology deductively and using research techniques such as gauging and direct observations proceeded with the collection of information through vehicular and pedestrian gauging, Information on the condition of the surrounding roads was also collected through technical data sheets, which showed that there is a slight deterioration in the condition of the road signs. It was also found that there is a lack of vertical signage. The results obtained from the collection of information on the surrounding roads were analyzed in two main parameters, the first referring to vehicular flow and the second focused on road infrastructure, so that according to the analysis of the vehicular volume, a vehicular flow of 3949 vehicles per day was determined and the times with the greatest affluence varies between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. per day: 00 am and 7:00 am in the morning, in the afternoon between 12:00 am and 13:00 pm and at night between 18:00 pm and 19:00 pm. It is recommended that the authorities responsible for Transport, Transit and Road Safety establish actions to solve the problem in order to provide greater security to all users residing in the area and external population.
