Sistematización de la información técnico-científica de simulaciones de procesos agroindustriales en las universidades del Ecuador.

Abstract

This research work aimed to compile bibliographic information about agro-industrial process simulation generated in different universities in Ecuador. The data on the subject were collected and systematized in a database in Microsoft Access since this program is easy, accessible, and effective. Thus, through the bibliographic search on the simulation of agro-industrial processes, 32 bibliographic pieces of research were found, obtained from 13 repositories of different universities in Ecuador. 62% corresponds to food simulation processes, and 38% corresponds to the simulation of non-food agro-industrial processes. Simulation is of great help in reducing risks and optimizing decision-making, as well as in planning, analyzing, and improving company processes. The academic database on agro-industrial process simulation is a reference for future research. It is a helpful tool for teachers and students and is easily accessible using the code assigned for the different simulation processes. It is recommended to share information about the usefulness and importance of the database to students and teachers of ESPOCH as it is a reliable and concise source for obtaining information.
