Desarrollo de un sistema web interactivo para el tratamiento de datos de la Estación Meteorológica de la ESPOCH.

Abstract

The main objective of the current curriculum integration work is the development of the the Web System called “Meteorological Data Science” for the Centro de Investigación en Ciencia de Datos (CIDED) of the Faculty of Science of the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo focused on the researchers of in the statistics area applied to methodology. We utilized SCRUM as a methodology to develop the software applying the planning, develop and ending phases. In the planning phase, we defined the functional and non-functional requirements of the system which were registered using users’ stories. The development phase encompassed 8 sprints that segmented the development and helped to accomplish all the requirements. Finally, we ended the system management with the BurnDown Chart tool to determine the variation in the accomplishment of the activities during the development of the web system. We utilized R language as technology to create the web system because it is the most suitable for the statistics area and SHINY framework for its ease of development of dynamic – interactive components. The evaluation of the interaction in the web system was done based on the ISO/IEC 25010 along with the SUS and QUIS measurement tools. The results show 88.1 of punctuation which means a high level of acceptance whereby it is considered that the interaction is acceptable. As a conclusion, the Web system fulfills all the established objectives and the quality of the software has been guarantee.
