Síndrome de Steven Johnson

Abstract

The present clinical case studied of a 28 –year-old patient, male sex, without personal or family history of importance, positive ORH blood group, without any type of disability, who went to the Emergency Service for presenting a fever and was admitted to the Internal Medicine service of the Jose Maria Velasco Ibarra General Hospital IN Tena city, for presenting erythematous lesion at the level of the upper extremities, anterior and posterior thorax, and at the level of the confirmatory examinations such as skin biopsy associated with clinic corroborate the diagnosis, so that the evolution of the patient was monitored. The objective of the present clinical case was to diagnose the pathology based on the signs, symptoms and history of self-medication, for a timely treatment such as its isolation, antibiotic therapy and hydration as well as the behavior to follow of the lesions present in the 60% of the body. Support material was used to help the knowledge of the disease and the reduction if morbidities with timely treatment, finally concluded that the management was accurate helped in the patient’s quality of life and assured that it does not extend to more areas of the body.
