Análisis de rutas y frecuencias del corredor vial Alausí-Riobamba. caso de estudio: Cooperativa de Transportes Alausí (cta), período 2022

Abstract

The present Curricular Integration Work has as its objective the development of an analysis of routes and frequencies proposed for the Alausí Transportation Cooperative Cta. For the development of this topic the quantitative and qualitative approach, also resides in conducting surveys, which were directed to a certain percentage of the total population of the Canton Alausi, and fieldwork was done through a record of the ascent and descent of passengers, This was carried out on weekdays and weekends to determine the number of users boarding and alighting at certain established points of the route, and also to determine the time it takes between them to analyze supply and demand and to know the current status of the cooperative with respect to the subject of research. For this study, it was of great help to have the operation permit and workbook in which the fleet distribution, intervals, and frequencies are reflected. With these results, by means of fleet sizing, it was possible to restructure the intervals, 50 and 49 minutes during the week, and for the intervals during weekends, 40 and 46 minutes on the Alausí-Riobamba-Alausí route, respectively. It was concluded that the methodology applied by ANT is important for the study of interprovincial transportation. It is recommended that the technicians in charge review the routes and frequencies permanently due to the population increase.
