“Estudio de factibilidad para la reubicación de la feria de vehículos del cantón Ambato, provincia de Tungurahua”

Abstract

The purpose of this research work was to develop of feasibility study for the relocation of the used car fair to a strategic sector of the Ambato canton, to identify the current of operation of the fair, and determine a new location that would provide more and better services. In order to carry out this research, a descriptive type of research was applied identifying the data that will be most relevant for correct decision making. The field research was carried out through the application of surveys to buyers and sellers, as well as interviews with the authorities in charge of transportation in the canton of Ambato. All the information gathered above served as the main criteria for analysis to determine the current situation of the fair’s operation, which in general terms was identified as regular, as well as the security and services provided, and as an incentive, the willingness of 82 % of those surveyed to move to a new location. The problems and shortcomings identified above were solved by relocating the used car fair to the Shuyurco esplanade, as well as an adequate distribution of the physical space with parking spaces at 60° and services such as mechanical inspection workshop, judicial police, notary, internal guardianship, ATMs, food court, restrooms and a security camera circuit; making this car fair a pioneer in service innovation, security, time and money-saving. It was recommended launching of an impartial competition for the selection of companies to develop the outsourcing process and the concession of the used car show.
