Evaluación del producto químico hymexazol y del producto biológico Trichoderma harzianum para el control de Damping off en plantas de jacarandá (Jacaranda mimosifolia D. DON).

Abstract

In the research, the chemical product Hymexazol and the biological product Trichoderma harzianum were evaluated for the control of Damping off in jacaranda plants (Jacaranda mimosifolia D. DON). The methodology used consisted of three applications with three repetitions during the period of 15, 30, and 45 days respectively, focusing on the use of biological products to control diseases caused by different phytopathogens. Different data were taken from the variables analyzed, such as the height of each plant in centimeters was measured with a rule. Then, we proceeded with the counting of leaves and shoots, for the application of the different chemical and biological products the doses recommended by each commercial house were used. For Trichoderma harzianum, 30 cm3 was dissolved in 3 liters of water and for Hymexazol 20 cm3 was dissolved in 3 liters of water, with an application every 15 days to the different treatments. A Completely Random Design was used. As a result, it was determined that treatment 3 (Hymexazol) was the most effective in obtaining the variable height of the plant in centimeters; it was determined that treatment 2 (Trichoderma harzianum) was the most effective in the variable number of shoots. Finally, it was determined that treatment 2 (Trichoderma harzianum) was the most effective in the variable number of leaves, therefore both products are efficient for the control of the disease, referring to the economic analysis carried out. The biological product Trichoderma harzianum presented a cheaper value with respect to Hymexazol at $62.65. Therefore, it was recommended the use of biological products such as Trichoderma harzianum presenting phytosanitary action with environmentally friendly characteristics.
