Plan de desarrollo turístico sostenible para la parroquia Taracoa, cantón Francisco de Orellana.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to elaborate a Sustainable Tourism Development Plan to identify those areas with greater tourism capacity, through qualitative and quantitative research in Taracoa parish. The study was carried out using techniques like documentary review, since bibliographic research was carried out and direct observation with inductive and deductive methods, which determines the tourism situational diagnosis with surveys and in situ interviews applying the finite formula. The evaluation of tourist potential through field research considered its territorial limits, transportation, socio-cultural environment, festivities, tourist services and its ecological space, data that allowed the hierarchization of each of the natural and cultural tourist attractions of the area, and therefore the elaboration of a proposal for economic and environmental sustainability of the sector. As a result, tourists, and tourism authorities from Taracoa parish Government consider that the parish needs a tourism development plan where the inhabitants undertake sustainable sites to improve their quality of life, with joint work between public and private institutions, carrying out publicity campaigns and improving infrastructure. It concluded that it is necessary to propose a Sustainable Tourism Development Plan that includes programs, strategies and activities that work in conjunction with community projects that offer quality services and attention to visitors. It is recommended that the authorities work together with the community to promote entertainment activities in the local tourist attractions.
