Abstract

This investigation aimed to determine the feasibility study for the creation of an agricultural mechanization services company for Cañar canton, province of Cañar. The exploratory method was used in order to gather information by using direct interviews to the inhabitants of the different rural parishes of Cañar canton. For the market study, potential customers were classified according to the kind of crop and use of agricultural machinery, 194 surveys were conducted, which were stratified taking into account the crops and rural parishes of Cañar canton, and a review of the legal regulations was conducted for the administrative-legal plan of this business venture. The marketing plan and contracting of agricultural mechanization services was carried out based on the results obtained, which were also used to carry out the economic and financial analysis. It was determined that the initial investment of the enterprise is 962,435.20 USD, with an NPV of 254,641.02 USD, a B/C ratio of 1.26 USD, an IRR of 11% and a capital recovery period between year 4 and 5 of the project. It is concluded that the enterprise is financially viable and profitable. The financing and execution of this business venture SEDMAC (Agricultural Mechanization Services Cañar) is recommended based on its planning.
