Estudio de factibilidad para la implementación de una tarabita en el sector La Antigua Gerencia, parroquia Pistishí, cantón Alausí, provincia de Chimborazo.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the feasibility of implementing a cable car in the Antigua Gerencia sector, Pistishí parish, Alausí canton, Chimborazo province. A commercial, technical-productive, environmental, legal-administrative and economic-financial study were conducted. By compiling primary and secondary information and field trips with representatives of the parish GAD and the community, the first step was to analyze the current situation of the parish and a summary of the tourist attractions. After that, it was identified the current offer and the tourist facilities they have, and then the market study was carried out through surveys applied to national tourists. In addition, a competitive analysis was carried out to obtain the unsatisfied and the objective demand. The land conditions were then analyzed, the technical design of the cable car was made, and the Leopold matrix was used for the environmental study. The results showed the presence of positive and negative impacts for which the respective mitigation measures were established; in the legal administrative area, the legal structure that will manage the products was identified; in the economic-financial analysis of the project, the net present value calculated amounts to $34,472, the internal rate of return is 33%, the benefit-cost ratio is $2.48, and the capital recovery period is in the third year. It was concluded that the project is economically and financially profitable, and from an environmental point of view, the project is viable because it will not cause environmental impacts. It is recommended to arrange with the competent entities the corresponding technical assistant to train the human talent involved in the project before its execution.
