Estudio de necesidad de servicio de Transporte Terrestre Mixto en la parroquia Cebadas, cantón Guamote, provincia de Chimborazo

Abstract

The purpose of this research work was to carry out a "Study of the Need for the Mixed Land Transportation Service in the Cebadas parish, Guamote Canton, Chimborazo province", with the purpose of knowing the need for mixed transportation in the study area and the at the same time, the vehicle fleet dimension required to meet the needs of the inhabitants. An investigation was carried out based on the application of surveys to the economically active population of the Guamote canton, which increased to a total of 33,050 people, where it was taken a sample of 380 inhabitants and also the carriers that offer the transport service, mixed commercial land in the Guamote canton, an unsatisfied demand was obtained as a result due to the insufficient number of vehicles that currently provide the mixed transport service in the canton. For the present study, the methodology and technical guidelines were applied based on Resolution-012-DE-ANT-2021 provided by the National Transit Agency to carry out the analysis of the technical and financial feasibility that demonstrates the need for mixed transportation in the study area, which allows for balance in the offer of the mixed transport service with the demand of the people who require it. Considering that the results obtained were used so that the National Traffic Agency of Chimborazo takes into account the unsatisfied demand that exists in the Guamote canton and is open to the creation of operators or an increase in mixed transport quotas, it allows the same to improve the service conditions for those who need to move their products safely and efficiently from remote areas of the canton to the cantonal capital and neighboring cantons where there is a concentration of trade activities.
