Elaboración del Plan de Manejo Ambiental y de Contingencia en la Empresa Pública Terminal Terrestre y Comunicación Social “Coca”

Abstract

The present research about Curricular Integration main aimed the elaboration of an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and the updating at Company’s Contingency Plan of the Terrestrial Terminal Public Company and Social Communication "Coca" (TTPC), canton of Francisco de Orellana, province of Orellana; in order to evaluate, identify and value the impacts and risks of industrial safety and environment. The methodology was carried out using techniques and instruments such as interviews for the collection of information, review of current regulations and the evaluation of fire risk matrices, identification of threats, vulnerability, probability, severity, carrying capacity of the infrastructure, seismic risks, and resources available. The results obtained in the on-site evaluation indicated that the company TTPC has deficiencies in maintenance and availability of equipment, compliance with protocols biosecurity, updating of operating permits; in such a EMP is constituted by sub-plans that are necessary to be implemented in the company which is: the Pollution Prevention and Impact Mitigation Plan, Comprehensive Management Plan for Waste, Training Plan, Community Relations Plan, Area Reclamation Plan affected and the monitoring plan; intended to comply with current regulations and updated the Contingency Plan based on the applied matrices. Finally, it is recommended to implement the EMP and Contingency to comply with the provisions of the Organic Code Environmental and Fire Department.
