Estudio de factibilidad para la transformación de la tienda de abarrotes “Angelito” en un supermercado en el cantón Guayaquil, barrio la Portete, periodo 2020

Abstract

The objective of this research was to propose a feasibility project to transform a grocery store called Angelito into a supermarket around Portete, which is a neighborhood located in Guayaquil city, province of Guayas, in order to increase its profitability and positioning in the market, for which inductive, deductive, analytical methods were used, through market study, surveys and interviews could be applied to the population around a neighborhood called Portete by determining the existing demand, supply and the acceptance of the project. In addition, an interview was conducted with the owner of the store, Mr. Ángel Quiroz, who provided information about the current situation of the business, its problems and needs. Likewise, a technical, legal, administrative and financial study was carried out in order to determine the investment executed, the financing and the projected financial statements such as: Income Statement and Cash Flow, which allowed the application of financial indicators and as a result a discount rate of 8.56% was obtained, a positive Net Present Value of $ 90,588.46, an Internal Rate of Return of 19.92%, a benefit-cost ratio of $ 1.09, a Payback Period of the investment of 3 years and 23 days and the balance point of the project which is $ 66,120.02, with a percentage of 75.57%. It is concluded that the study is feasible, therefore, the owner of the business will increase his profitability and positioning in the market around Portete. All the results obtained were positive, so that the owner of the store is recommended to apply this project.
