Propuesta de diseño de un sistema de transporte turístico desde el cantón Riobamba hacia los principales atractivos de la provincia de Chimborazo

Abstract

The objective of this research was to design a tourist transport system through the characterization of factors that influence the mobilization of tourists from the Riobamba canton to the main attractions of the province of Chimborazo, which promotes economic and social development of the sector. The research has a multiple cross-sectional design due to the origin of tourists, with a qualitative and quantitative approach that is strictly related to techniques such as the capacity of people at tourist attractions, surveys that respond to the characteristics of the demand of tourists by origin allowing to know their needs and in the interview information was found on companies that provide tourist transport services in their business models. As a result, it was obtained that the conformity in the transport is negative, it was deduced that the tourist spends between one to two nights in the province, which involves lower income from the tourist activity, the acceptance of the community to implement a tourist system has been positive ; being an attractive tool to strengthen this activity. In conclusion, the social and economic benefits of a tourist transport system range from the specialization of related services, versatility in travel times and the achievement of obtaining a trip with a positive tourist experience, determining the proposal that has been investigated as an element of social growth, for which it is recommended that tourism have a dynamic approach, improving the tourist's experience in transport when addressing the attraction.
