Propuesta de manejo de visitantes para el aprovechamiento turístico del atractivo volcán El Altar, tramo Inguisay- Las Puertas, Parque Nacional Sangay, provincia de Chimborazo.

Abstract

The present research proposes: to develop a proposal for the management of visitors for the tourist use of the attractive El Altar volcano, Inguisay-Puertas section, Sangay National Park, Chimborazo province; through a participatory process and using the methodology proposed by the Ministry of Environment “Management of Destinations for Protected Areas”. The assessment of the tourism potential of the area was carried out, analyzing the conditions of both supply and demand and an analysis of the people to come, as a result, 14 natural-type attractions were identified, the current state of tourist facilities and tourist services in the area and the profile of the visitor was determined, with the elements of the tourist diagnosis, it is intended to develop a tourism product that allows diversifying and to increase the demand. Also, the Tourist Load Capacity was determined, resulting in Physical Load Capacity = 5003 visits / day, Actual Load Capacity = 12 visits / day and Effective Load Capacity = 6 visits / day. Also, strategies were established for the promotion, dissemination, and commercialization of the tourism product, the implementation, and maintenance of tourist facilities and the improvement of the access route to help the sustainable development of the visit site. It is concluded that to correct and improve the correction factors for the increase in tourist capacity found on the site, it is necessary to implement walkways and /or paths and a drainage system. Finally, with work together with the cantonal, parochial GAD´s, Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Tourism. The management plan constitutes an important initiative for the promotion and development of tourism activity at the site of visit.
