Generación de indicadores de sostenibilidad para servicios turísticos ofertados a turistas con discapacidad auditiva en la ciudad de Riobamba, provincia de Chimborazo.

Abstract

The present investigation proposes: to generate sustainability indicators for tourist services offered to tourists with hearing impairment in the city of Riobamba, Chimborazo province; Through the review of secondary information, mainly from official scientific sources, a list of indicators was made in three meetings together with staff from the Tourism Directorate and the teaching director of the degree work, which after being discriminated because they were considered not applicable to the city for the collection of information, there were a total of 24 sustainable indicators already validated to be measured. The information collected was obtained through the application of interviews with the 54 accommodation establishments, 3 tourist transport services that are registered in the DITUR and 3 public entities in the city of Riobamba. It can be seen that of the 35 tourist establishments in the city of Riobamba with 54%, it has had the opportunity to provide a service for the second time to such tourists. It was evident that only 30 establishments have a budget for the introduction of improvements in terms of accessibility. In addition, it is appreciated that the world is still scarce the systems of indicators for the disabled. For the dissemination of the information a newsletter was prepared that constitutes a useful tool through the Adobe Canvas X 2018 program, which contains 4 parts, which allows to know the capacity of tourist servers as accommodation establishments and the tourist transport service to be able to provide a quality service to tourists with hearing impairment. It is recommended to include the investigation of indicators of the tourism field for all types of physical and intellectual disabilities, in order to contribute to the sustainable development of the activity.
