Abstract

This research analyzes the feasibility of producing potatoes for the improvement of the economic conditions of the community of Tzalarón, Punín parish, province of Chimborazo. It is an experimental investigation, through a numerical evaluation of the designed surveys, to determine the acceptance of the hypothesis. The population that was part of the research was 84 families from the Tzalarón community. In the market feasibility study, the research proposes the cultivation and commercialization with a corporate image of potatoes that provide the home delivery and prewash service. The technical feasibility planned the technification issued by the National Institute of Agricultural Research (INIAP) through training of producers. The environmental part contemplates in control of the negative impacts with an environmental management plan. The investigation is feasible in its extensions of market, technical, environmental and economic, to satisfy the demand of the inhabitants of the province of Chimborazo, it will be considered the automation of potato cultivation and its processes for the execution of good agricultural practices and conservation of I use an efficient use of resources and that they be replicated in the other potato fields in the area that could be potential beneficiaries of the research carried out for the sustainable agricultural development of the province.
