Proyecto de factibilidad para la producción y comercialización de Amaranto en la Parroquia Palmira, Cantón Guamote provincia de Chimborazo.

Abstract

The objective of this research work was to develop a feasibility project for the production and commercialization of Amaranth plant in Palmira Parish, Guamote Canton, Chimborazo Province, as an economic alternative option, on the other hand market research to determine the acceptance of the product and potential competitors, the primary objective of the present investigation. To establish the feasibility of the project, the Administrative, Legal, Financial, Technical, Social and Environmental study was carried out. The survey and field observation were used as the main instrument for the investigation. The research had a qualitative and quantitative approach. Among which it can be mentioned that its results are positive and encouraging for investment in this type of project, the net present value (NPV) of the project is $ 6483.88 dollars, so this value is greater than 0 and therefore the project is feasible and accepted. According to the data achieved, the project will have an internal rate of return (IRR) of 23.31%. Regarding the results obtained, it can be concluded that all the financial and profitability indicators are acceptable and yield positive values, therefore, the project is totally profitable and attractive for future investors who wish to invest in the Andean Food Company that will be dedicated to the production and marketing of amaranth flour. To start the productive activities of the company, there will be a supply of raw material by the producers in the area, which are a total of 20 people, which will improve the economic and social conditions of the sector. So it is recommended to implement the project taking advantage of the enthusiasm of the producers in wanting to repower their abandoned estates due to the lack of ventures.
