Manual para el Manejo Adecuado de los Residuos Sólidos Generados en el Camal Municipal de Riobamba

Abstract

"A plan of Environmental Education was applied for solid waste management in the community of Pulingui, Parroquia San Andres, Canton Guano.

Based on Research Method, we did the observations, surveys, training, workshops with. themes of environmental education on solid waste management, placing cans with distinctive colors. The students, parents and teachers were encouraged in the implementation of worm growing, the management plan ¡s based on technical sules that permits to collect 15 Kg daily, recycling the organic things to feed the worms, so that the 80% of organic waste can be used.

In this place usually, the trash is removed through the cremation, which also causes a release of large quantities of toxic gases and pollute the atmosphere.

With the acceptance of participants the plan of waste solid management was applied in order to encourage the care of the environment by recycling, in this way economic resources can

be obtained in community benefit, by selling waste, such as: paper, cardboard, and bottles to the recyclers of Riobamba, creating in this community a bafter environment of children, parents and teachers of the Pulingui Community.

It is concluded that with the help of this Environmental Education Plan for solid waste management, it is also really important to apply it in the other rural areas for getting the ecological development zone.

It is recommended to develop in all communities of this area about the environmental problems affecting the site, town or country, so that we have a thorough knowledge of environmental issues, which will be used as an analytical reflexive basis and to follow in the line to create an environmental culture, so that we can strengthen the care of our mother naure."
