Abstract

This work of qualification submitted the study of septic cardiomyopathy and pregnancy, with the presentation and analysis of a clinical case of the Riobamba Provincial General Hospital, in a pregnant patient of 16 years of age with 33.1 weeks with a history of urinary tract infection in treatment and allergy to penicillin, which came to this Medical Home Network for presenting symptoms of urinary origin with systemic involvement, the severity of its clinical picture is admitted to the Intensive Care Unit where it remains several days, multiple Both laboratory and imaging tests that associated with the clinical picture and its antecedents determine the diagnosis, so that the evolution of the pathology was monitored. This infrequent entity in the population with a high mortality rate is characterized by being reversible when it is diagnosed opportunely therefore its prognosis is favorable. In the present study, retrospective studies worldwide are used as a material to determine the laboratory and image clinical indicators that coincide with those presented by the patient, as well as the risk factors associated with both pregnancy and age. It is concluded that the management performed was successful and as a result the optimal recovery of the patient was obtained.
