Desarrollo del geoportal para la gestión del sistema de información ALPA de la ESPOCH utilizando el framework Vue.js.

Abstract

At the Higher Polytechnic School of Chimborazo, the Center for Research in Management Models and Information Systems "CIMOGSYS" developed the Alpa Information Management System (SGI Alpa) for the generation and management of strategic planning indicators, internal processes and accreditation and evaluation of the different areas of management of the institution. The need for a precise, relevant and simplified visualization of the above mentioned indicators was determined, therefore, the geoportal was developed; for the management of the SGI Alpa which offers the geolocation of the areas of ESPOCH management and the timely deployment of SGI Alpa indicators to help in the decision making processes. The geoportal was developed under the agile SCRUM methodology, implementing the Vue.js framework and the JavaScript library for geolocation and 3D deployment. The optimization of the 3D models was done with 3D Max and Maya software. The proposed system includes a georeferenced viewer of the 3D institutional campus with information deployment for administration and infrastructure management. In order to evaluate the functionality of the geoportal in terms of suitability and its significant contribution in decisionmaking processes, a technical assessment and a survey were carried out to the technicians of administrative management, software development and design and it was determined that the geoportal, according to the technical assessment, complies 97.66% functionality while according to the survey, complies 92.33% this feature. In addition, users considered that it is a useful tool to support decision making in 93.33%. It is recommended to continue with the investigation of new functionalities that allow to enhance the capacity of the geoportal.
