Abstract

The implementation of a system of monitoring of electrical variables in a bank of frequency variators was carried out by means of text messages, the system is located in the Control and Automatic Manipulation Laboratory of the School of Maintenance Engineering, the variables subject to monitoring are : voltage, current and power, this monitoring is done through GSM communication. For the development of this work we investigated industrial communication with GSM technology and its configuration for sending and receiving text messages between a cell phone and the S7-1200 PLC (SIEMENS). Before GSM / PLC communication the connection of the different devices used was made, being communicated in the following way: A squirrel cage motor (SIEMENS) of 0.5HP with a frequency inverter (SINAMICS G110) of 3HP, for the mediation of the electrical variables present in the operation of the motors a SENTRON PAC-3100 (SIEMENS) was used and the communication between the SENTRON PAC and the PLC was carried out by means of an RS-485 module. The programming of the devices was carried out in the TIA PORTAL software which is a proprietary tool in the manner of SIEMENS. Once the communication and programming of the electronic devices has been elaborated, the control and the monitoring of the engines by means of a message have been correctly achieved. s of text.
